Nelson Mandela Day is an annual international day in honour of Nelson Mandela, celebrated each year on Mandela’s birthday – 18 July. The day was officially declared as Mandela Day by the United Nations in November 2009, with the first UN Mandela Day held in 2010.
Mandela Day is a global call to action that celebrates the idea that everyone has the power to transform the world, the ability to make an impact.
With one of our newest clients being Cape Of Good Hope SPCA, we thought it befitting to spend our 67 minutes making a difference in the lives of the hundreds of animals that call the SPCA home, and spend the day building kennels to fend off the cold for our furry friends.
Our staff worked in shifts through the rain and wind hammering away to complete no less than 25 kennels, with all building materials, tools and time donated by various sponsors.
